Got Jokes?

Quote Flair 24 - magazine, quote van de week | Flair at Home:

I've noticed a common trend within all my photos with friends, I always feel like I'm being photobombed. We can never take a 'normal' picture. Its always a super large grin, squinted eyes or some sort of weird facial reaction. I often wonder what was I laughing at? (it usually a random comment that seconds before the picture).

Life Lessons 1

Here are some things I've learned:

  1. Treat everyone with respect and love and know that not everyone is going to look out for your best interest.
  2. Not everyone is your "friend" no matter how long you have known them.My dear, frenemies and haters are rampant these days.
  3. You should not remain friends with someone  just because you went to school with them. If they are not enhancing your life why bother (Vice versa).
  4. Take time to notice and remember the little things like the people who check to see if you've landed safely from a flight.

Just do you

Hey All!

These past couple of months have been interesting to say the least. I've learned so much about myself and I love seeing how what I consider smaller  life experiences help someone else dealing with something similar that I previously dealt with.Life is a process... its about  discovering your skills, your likes and dislikes. Do not settle for less than what you deserve. Sometimes that means getting

New Year, reprioritized goals.

Hello everyone,

New readers and all (or whoever if anyone reads these posts). I hope the upcoming year brings you nothing, but success! I like to reflect on the previous year and here are some of the things I learned:

  1. I am VERY independent. I traveled last year by myself for the most part and enjoyed it! (I'll do a separate post about travelling alone)
  2. I've learned to just "let go,let go" (these kids and this frozen song *sigh*)But really, everything negative, friendships, stress etc. I often question "Is it really worth it?" Is it worth my health,my emotions etc.. As

Create Marvelous Memories.

The summer so far has been awesome. Its amazing how on small shift  in perspective can really change EVERYTHING!

As I get older, I learn each and everyday that life is just too short not to spend it being around amazing people. I love that this summer I am getting to do just that. This summer is different from other summers because I CHOSE to spend my time with people I truly love being around.

Learning Post College

These past few months have been quite interesting. I think the job hunting process makes you so grateful for the things that you have. I think often times living in NYC, a  fast paced, environment   I often feel like I’m not doing enough as I could be doing. There’s this constant battle within to be better. These few months I have learned the following:

1. De-clutter and keep it that way.
For me personally, organization really affects the amount of work and things I actually get accomplished.  I recently went on a mini cleaning rampage. My mindset "shred everything, shred it all!Wait,I need that.." But seriously, I threw away so many magazines and receipts (I hate receipts *side eye*)

2.Change your attitude /perspective.
Your attitude also affects how much cleaning you actually get done. I always dreaded cleaning because I felt like it would take forever, but if you do a little each day while listening to music ( I prefer  Spotify,Pandora or Grooveshark ) it will get done faster. Stay positive when job hunting, take frequent breaks and think of every rejection or new positing as an opportunity.

3.Gratitude.
Be grateful for the things you have. You have  good health, a roof over your head, a degree! There are so many people all over the world that would kill for these luxuries.
